All Graduates

Are you thinking of living at the school post-graduation? Either for safety, or duty, as a member of X-Force, or simply someone used to the comfort of a community of mutants, I understand the need to continue living here even after you have finished your coursework with Professor Xavier.

That's why I'd like to propose a petition for a new building specifically meant to house graduates who no longer attend classes at the school. There is sufficient land, should Xavier agree to grant permission for the construction of such a structure, and I believe that I can fund this endeavor.

That is, of course, if there is sufficient interest.

I believe that the new building should consist of small co-ed apartments, each with its own bed, bath, and living arrangement. Kitchen is likely optional, given the options for food preparation we have at the school.

If I did put this to the Professor for consideration, who would be interested?

Hi. I'm Brigitte, Ginger wrote the first intro. I see people die, she turns into a werewolf. Sometimes I'm a werewolf, too, because she's infectious. So don't let her bite you. If you're exposed to her blood or other fluids come see me or the med staff and we’ll get you the cure. The cure is technically a poison and infection turns you into a murdering monster, so I wouldn't recommend infecting yourself for fun. We're juniors.

Got some questions, concerns, suggestions, or just want to talk to one of your out mutant classmates here at Xavier's? Interested in helping other mutants who are planning to come out soon? Want to know what's next?

Come to next week's meeting of the Activist Club on Monday, Feb 12, and grab your chance. We'll have a panel of those of us who are out, those of us who are planning to be out, and those of us who've been instrumental in safety concerns for both the school and us personally, all ready to field questions and concerns and suggestions from our fellow students. The panel includes Tamara Kurtz, Jean-Paul Beaubier, Simon Tam, Shen Li-Men, Kurt Wagner, Kitty Pryde, Tessa, and me.

Hey, so, I totally was wrapped up in the regular celebrations of the holidays and such that I totally forgot my birthday was coming up!

So, everyone's invited to a big ol' pizza party in the rec room. There will be games and pizza and sodas and snacks! Of all persuasions!

I'm sure we can all agree it's about time we figured out who's signed up to be an X-Person and started figuring shit out. Time for an X-Force meet-up! (Hey, X-Men's way too sexist a name to comprehend.)

Some of you already know, but in case you don't: This weekend, Simon, Jean-Paul, and I will have a press conference in which we publicly come out as mutants.

Personally, this is something I've been planning for a long time now, but Magneto's effective declaration of war on humanity has pushed my plans forward. A lot of you are already doing everything you can, and I feel like it's past time for me to step up and own who I am--and, if I can, reassure people that we're not all Magneto. In fact, very few of us are that level of batshit.

The security of our fellow students and the school in general is our first concern. We've made arrangements so that any inquiries (in the digital sense or the meatspace sense) about how and where we live will lead to a few apartments in Manhattan--and we will be seen coming and going from them enough to cement the story. Any coming and going from Xavier's will be done in absolute secrecy. Nothing will link us to you or this place.*

As to how we know each other, Jean-Paul and I are already a known couple--and we truly did meet at one of his events. Simon is being brought in as a 'subject expert'--one I've also met at parties previously due to family connections, which is a matter of record. Record we're making sure is available to anyone scoping us out.

We know there will be questions and concerns, and definitely want to address them all. So you can pop them here or ask one of us in person.

*The Brotherhood do know that we're linked to this place. But we have reason to believe they have no interest in exposing Xavier's--and even if they did, they aren't exactly swimming in credibility, these days.

This isn't an informative pamphlet, or a joke.

I realize that I have lied to all of you for months now. I know that many of you will likely be angry about that fact, but the truth is that I didn't think I could trust you.

It's not entirely that I'm hiding from the public, or ashamed of what I am, but to be quite honest, I can't trust my parents with this information. I haven't even told my sister. If my father found out...well, I won't bother to put family issues out there, but there are a lot of them. I'd really rather he not learn that I have the gene until I'm good and ready to tell him - and to face the blowback it will create. That's why I asked Professor Xavier to allow me to live and work here under the guise of research.

I'm not some flatscan trying to put all of you under a microscope. I'm one of you. I want to gather as much information about the gene that I can, for our benefit and future need.

My mutation is touch-based, which is why I've refrained from touching many of you. Those I have touched, I've kept it brief so I wouldn't invade your privacy. To be open with all of you, I have Biological Detection - I'm similar to a telepath, but while a telepath reads your thoughts, I can read your body. I can sense everything from your vitals down to your DNA. I can tell who is a mutant, and who isn't, and I realize that's entirely hypocritical.

Tamara's post is only one of the reasons I'm opening up to you today. The truth is, this is a long time coming, and I'm sorry for lying to all of you. I'm sorry for pretending I'm something I'm not. I'm a mutant. I have the X-gene. And I hope that I can use my abilities to help our sub-species grow and stay safe from those who might persecute us.

All of that banging, drilling, and general bullshit going on in 105? That is the result of my roommate deciding to redecorate our dorm to his lofty standards. So if you need to yell at someone about it (especially the drilling), you want the baseline, not the incredibly good-looking speedster.

Hey guys,

So. Basically, I had this idea that mutant kids need better phones. Or, you know, ones that will be resistant to powers. I mean, we can't afford to replace phones every other week, right? Like, I've started creating one that will phase with me and won't short out halfway through the wall. I know there are others. There should be a phone that has an interface that works well with claws, for instance!

So this is kind of like a sign-up board? If you want your phone adapted to work better with your powers, or to be more resistant to things like, I dunno, ice, or wear and tear, leave me a note here. Professor Xavier has promised that he'll be funding this project.

Keep in mind that I don't have the ability to mass-produce these babies. It's going to be a one-phone-at-a-time kind of thing. So just let me know, and eventually I hope to get you something that fits you perfect.
