ax_angelSome of you already know, but in case you don't: This weekend, Simon, Jean-Paul, and I will have a press conference in which we publicly come out as mutants.
Personally, this is something I've been planning for a long time now, but Magneto's effective declaration of war on humanity has pushed my plans forward. A lot of you are already doing everything you can, and I feel like it's past time for me to step up and own who I am--and, if I can, reassure people that we're not all Magneto. In fact, very few of us are that level of batshit.
The security of our fellow students and the school in general is our first concern. We've made arrangements so that any inquiries (in the digital sense or the meatspace sense) about how and where we live will lead to a few apartments in Manhattan--and we will be seen coming and going from them enough to cement the story. Any coming and going from Xavier's will be done in absolute secrecy. Nothing will link us to you or this place.*
As to how we know each other, Jean-Paul and I are already a known couple--and we truly did meet at one of his events. Simon is being brought in as a 'subject expert'--one I've also met at parties previously due to family connections, which is a matter of record. Record we're making sure is available to anyone scoping us out.
We know there will be questions and concerns, and definitely want to address them all. So you can pop them here or ask one of us in person.
*The Brotherhood do know that we're linked to this place. But we have reason to believe they have no interest in exposing Xavier's--and even if they did, they aren't exactly swimming in credibility, these days.
