Okay, so I put a video on Youtube today about the protest/riot/shit show last month. Don't worry, we made sure it can't be traced back to the school or anything (thanks @Kitty!!), and I didn't name names or anything like that. And let's be honest, my identity was already teh worst kept secret on the internet, since my whole town already knew about my mutation anyway...

Also, wanted to post this here so you guys can comment or whatever without giving ourselves away on social media, lol.

This isn't an informative pamphlet, or a joke.

I realize that I have lied to all of you for months now. I know that many of you will likely be angry about that fact, but the truth is that I didn't think I could trust you.

It's not entirely that I'm hiding from the public, or ashamed of what I am, but to be quite honest, I can't trust my parents with this information. I haven't even told my sister. If my father found out...well, I won't bother to put family issues out there, but there are a lot of them. I'd really rather he not learn that I have the gene until I'm good and ready to tell him - and to face the blowback it will create. That's why I asked Professor Xavier to allow me to live and work here under the guise of research.

I'm not some flatscan trying to put all of you under a microscope. I'm one of you. I want to gather as much information about the gene that I can, for our benefit and future need.

My mutation is touch-based, which is why I've refrained from touching many of you. Those I have touched, I've kept it brief so I wouldn't invade your privacy. To be open with all of you, I have Biological Detection - I'm similar to a telepath, but while a telepath reads your thoughts, I can read your body. I can sense everything from your vitals down to your DNA. I can tell who is a mutant, and who isn't, and I realize that's entirely hypocritical.

Tamara's post is only one of the reasons I'm opening up to you today. The truth is, this is a long time coming, and I'm sorry for lying to all of you. I'm sorry for pretending I'm something I'm not. I'm a mutant. I have the X-gene. And I hope that I can use my abilities to help our sub-species grow and stay safe from those who might persecute us.
